About

A free chord-progression tool, built by a songwriter-engineer.

Chord Draft is built by Thomas Divine Smith II, an American software engineer, and published by CAD Guardian LLC, a TSmithCode.ai company. It exists so songwriters can move from a lyric, hook, or mood to a playable chord progression while the idea is still fresh.

Founder

Thomas Divine Smith II

Thomas Divine Smith II is the American software engineer behind Chord Draft. He owns and operates CAD Guardian LLC, the publisher of Chord Draft, and writes and ships software under the TSmithCode.ai personal brand. Chord Draft is the result of a single principle: a hit still takes taste, and the first sound of a song should not be the slowest part of writing it.

Publisher

CAD Guardian LLC, a TSmithCode.ai company

CAD Guardian LLC is the operating company that publishes Chord Draft. It is the legal entity behind the product and is part of the TSmithCode.ai brand family. Chord Draft is currently free to use until further notice. Product governance and public access policy are managed by CAD Guardian LLC.

Philosophy

You bring the taste. Chord Draft helps you start.

Chord Draft is not a beat-maker, a hit-generator, or a DAW. It is a fast first- draft tool: a way to turn the lyric, hook, or mood already in your head into a playable chord loop you can shape in Studio. The hard parts — taste, melody, performance, the lyric that lands — stay yours.
