This page explains what info we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to include in that message. When you use online features, we may also process basic device or browser information needed to operate and protect the app, along with text and musical context you submit for generation, continuation, or chord revision.
We use this information to run the app, return requested results, respond to messages, improve quality, investigate misuse, and protect the service. We send product updates by email only when you have chosen to receive them or otherwise permitted us to contact you.
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help run the product, and when required by law or to protect legal rights, ownership, intellectual property, platform security, or legal obligations.
We retain information only as long as needed for product operation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, IP enforcement, and enforcement of agreements. Basic server logs and release evidence may be retained longer than surface-level content because they support reliability and misuse investigation.
Your local projects, MAX settings, and imported sound clips are kept in this browser on this device. They do not automatically follow you to another device or browser. Clearing site data, a private session ending, or browser storage eviction can remove these copies. Export backups you want to keep.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
When you request generation, continuation, or chord revision, the relevant text and musical context are sent to the Chord Draft jam service. AI processing uses OpenAI. These requests do not stay solely on your device. Do not include private information you do not want processed by the service.
Importing an audio file to the MAX soundboard saves a local copy; it does not upload or publish the file. Removing an imported clip removes the soundboard’s copy, leaving your original file unchanged. Chord Draft does not claim ownership of the audio you import. A locally stored clip is not permission to reuse someone else’s recording.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. Contact us to submit a request.
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
