1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Chord Draft, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Service Description

Chord Draft is a free music app presented by CAD Guardian. It helps you turn feelings or lyric ideas into playable chord progressions, then explore them with instruments, MAX effects, and local creative tools. We may update or remove features at any time.

3. Permitted Use

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service only in the ways that the product and access policy currently allow. You must not abuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape at scale, benchmark for a competing service, automate around access controls, or attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, prompts, or admin tools.

4. Intellectual Property and Your Work

Chord Draft was created by Thomas Divine Smith II and is presented by CAD Guardian LLC. The Chord Draft software, branding, interface, and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Using the service does not give you a right to copy, reverse engineer, extract, resell, white-label, or build a competing product from our software or non-public methods, prompts, trade secrets, evaluation materials, or documentation. Reusing or distributing those materials requires prior written consent from CAD Guardian LLC.

These restrictions concern our software and non-public service materials. CAD Guardian does not claim ownership of your original lyrics, recordings, performances, or musical creations. You may keep, edit, export, and use your work commercially, subject to rights held by others. Using Chord Draft does not guarantee copyright protection, exclusivity, or clearance of third-party material.

You may use the soundboard’s built-in original effects in your personal and commercial creations without paying a royalty to Chord Draft. This permission does not apply to third-party recordings you import. Import and share only material you created or have permission to use. Short clips and trending sounds are not automatically cleared. Follow the rules of any platform where you publish or stream, and respect performers’ privacy and permission to be recorded.

Projects, MAX settings, and imported soundboard clips are stored locally in your browser by default. Clearing browser data or losing access to the device can remove those local copies, so export backups you want to keep. Text and musical context submitted for AI generation are processed by the Chord Draft jam service as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Free Access, Service Limits, and Enforcement

Chord Draft is offered as a free app. No purchase or paid subscription is required to use the currently available features. We may apply reasonable rate, usage, or feature limits to keep the service reliable and control operating costs. You may not bypass those limits or other technical or security controls through automation, alternate accounts, token sharing, scraping, proxying, or similar methods.

We may restrict or end access for misuse, disruption, infringement, unauthorized access, or violation of these Terms. We reserve available legal and equitable remedies for unauthorized use of our intellectual property, confidential methods, trade secrets, and non-public technical materials.

6. AI and Generated Output

AI output can be wrong. Please review results before use. The service supports music creativity and wellbeing, but it is not medical, legal, or professional advice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAD Guardian LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
